Brynn Mitchell
DIRECTOR/ CO-WRITER
Brynn Mitchell is a second year directing Fellow at the AFI. She is passionate about stories that explore big questions in big worlds. With an undergrad in theater arts and years of experience working in theater and the editorial world, her passions lie at the intersection of theatricality and grounded characters. Brynn is an award winning writer and filmmaker, and has screened films at festivals across the country. Her previous films include Behind Glass, a sc-fi thriller, Hysterical, a period comedy, and Flower Girls, a dramedy about sisterhood and grief. In her time at AFI, Brynn has taken big swings. All three of her cycle films were genre films with unique challenges like finding a take on time travel and 1600’s Spain. Always looking for the next big challenge, Brynn is thrilled to be working on The Witch Pricker and the Hare with an extraordinary team, and can’t wait to share this unique story with a curious audience.

Anna Bohannan
PRODUCER
Anna Bohannan is currently a Producing Fellow at the American Film Institute. Originally from Orange County, Anna received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Cinema & Television Studies from California State University, Fullerton. She also holds a certificate in Writing for Television from UCLA. She has worked on several short films, which have premiered at various festivals, and has cultivated a love for story and development. She has been able to pursue that interest while working at high-level production companies from Groundswell Productions, Kerner Entertainment, Bona Fide Productions, and Delirious Media. With a love for period films, and always looking to take big swings as a producer, Anna is excited to work alongside this amazing team to bring The Witch Pricker and The Hare to life.

Zachary Morrison
CINEMATOGRAPHER
Zach Morrison is a cinematographer originally from small town Texas. With a Bachelors degree from the University of Texas and a decade-long stint cutting his teeth in the indie film and music video world of Austin, Zach moved to Los Angeles to pursue narrative film full time in 2022, after being admitted as a Cinematography Fellow at the American Film Institute. In 2019, Zach helped found Austin Cinematography Group, an organization promoting the cinematic arts in Central Texas. Films Zach has shot have premiered at festivals including SXSW, New Orleans Film Festival, Inside Out Toronto, and on such platforms as HBO, NoBudge.com, booooooom.tv, and Billboard. His first narrative feature as a cinematographer, Central and Remote is currently in Post-Production.

Mashael Alqahtani
CO-WRITER
Mashael Alqahtani is a current Screenwriting Fellow at the American Film Institute. She’s an MFA graduate of USC’s Writing for Film & Television program, with her BA from Emerson College in Film Production. Alqahtani also has a certificate of completion from The Edit Center's 2017 Avid program.

Jose Daniel
PRODUCTION DESIGNER
Jose Daniel is a Mexican designer who has always felt fascinated by flavourful stories packed with color and personality. He graduated with a BA in Industrial Design and studied abroad in Jerusalem, Melbourne, and Tokyo, where he developed interests and skills in storytelling. While interning at The Walt Disney Company Mexico in 2019, he discovered his passion for Production Design. This opportunity led him to work in an event production company designing for clients like Marvel, Pixar, Fox, and Warner Bros. Studios. He has participated in the Art Department of eccentric, unconventional projects such as horror and sci-fi films, period pieces, musicals, and conceptual shorts. Recently, Jose collaborated on the short "Cuando Volvimos A La Tierra" as an Art Director, which was a finalist in Spotlight Dorado. A contest that empowers aspiring Latino voices in film. Now relocated to LA, he is a Fellow at the American Film Institute pursuing an MFA in Production Design. His goal is to keep finding vibrant worlds to develop and ultimately become a successful Production Designer within the film industry.

Phoebe Fu
EDITOR
Phoebe graduated from NYU where she double majored in Cinema Studies and TV&Film Production. As a film student in Tisch School of Arts, she directed 3 short films and participated in production of several shorts which got selected and nominated in film festivals including Prisma, NYFF, and Cannes Court Métrage. She starts her editing career by cutting her own shorts and commercials for companies including Net-A-Porter & Ralph Lauren. After 4-year training as an independent filmmaker, she now is pursuing a MFA in AFI with focus in editing. Her interest in woman psychology and dedication in thrillers make her immediately determined to be on board of The Witch Pricker and the Hare.
